Rafting in the Smokies

Nothing in the Eastern United States compares to the thrill of whitewater rafting. Ziplining probably comes the closest, but braving rapids is something more natural to mankind… something more primal that calls back to our history of trying to tame the untamable.

And when nature comes calling to try to be tamed, Rafting in the Smokies is our preferred recommendation.

Since 1978, Rafting in the Smokies has been providing thousands of families, groups, reunions and more with the riparian ride of a lifetime down the Big Pigeon River. Each ride has a professional guide and copious amounts of safety gear as you go down Class III and IV rapids to provide security without sacrificing the thrill of the rafting excursion. The ride is 5 miles long and lasts approximately 90 minutes. This attraction is good for most ages, including kids.
